I am a big picture thinker..

I don`t know about you, but I have a problem in finishing things.

And in things I mean my sewing projects..

I start with great enthusiasm!

Thinking of a new project, planning, sorting out the fabric, drawing up the pattern , cutting it out and then sewing my new "best thing ,I am going to put together ... ever..."

Within a couple of hours I have the start of a great new dress, shirt or skirt and within another couple of hours it`s an almost finished product, almost, till I get distracted...

People come around.

The dog needs to go for a walk.

A great movie is about to start.

I really need to paint my toe nails!

Anything to distract me and that will be it!

It will take me weeks, sometimes even months {a year} to sew up the last sleeve to that shirt, to sew a button on a skirt, to put some facing in that dress.

*** I am a big picture thinker, a universal dreamer, always scanning the far reached horizon, absorbed in the beauty of the landscape rather than counting the trees and the sheeps in the paddocks*** Lisa Messenger* the Collective*

Why is that? Why can`t I just follow it up?

Is it the thrill of starting something new, something exciting, being in that creative flow, that will make me first up want to get into it {..and there is no stopping me , I am so focused }

But when it comes to those last little details.. I...JUST.....NEED...MORE....TIME!

When you think of it ,detailed work is so important and just needs more time, you can`t rush these things! The finishing touches, the icing on the cake, the nitty little bitty grids .... It al takes time!

Or at least... that is my excuse!

I will get there..

Eventually !

ps.. it took me a couple of weeks to finish this blog !
